Industry profile adjustments form part of Intelligence Africa’s credit rating framework and are applied to reflect industry-specific credit risk factors that are not fully captured by an issuer’s financial metrics alone. These adjustments assess characteristics of industries such as regulatory environment, cyclicality, competitive dynamics, ESG considerations and market risk exposures to ensure that credit assessments appropriately reflect the operating context in which issuers function.
